Namitha was born as Namita Kapoor in an Indian-Punjabi family on May 10, 1980, in Surat, Gujarat, India. She is famous for her acting in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, Malayalam & English movies.
She brought herself to notice when she was first crowned Miss Surat in the year 1998. After that she participated in Miss India 2001 contest, however came fourth in the contest.
That’s when the Adfilm makers took notice of her and then she did number of TV commercials like Himani cream & hand soap, Arun Ice Cream, Manikchand Gutka, and Nile herbal shampoo.
Namitha made her first film debut in a Telugu film ‘Sontham.’ She is a famous star especially in the south Indian film industry and earns crores of rupess each year and also is one of the most sought after actresses in the industry.
